Getting started with Simply Track

Simply Track is a private period tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. There is no account: open the app and start tracking.

  • Made for first periods: say it is your first period during setup and the app opens a calm, step-by-step guide you can revisit any time. This part of the app is always free.
  • Track in seconds: start and stop your period with one tap, and log flow, moods, symptoms, discharge and notes in a couple of taps. A clear calendar shows what happened and what is predicted.
  • Understand your cycle: smart predictions, a cycle-phase view, and insights into your cycle length, regularity, symptoms and mood.

Predictions and your health

Period, ovulation and fertile-window predictions are estimates based on what you log. They can be wrong, especially early on or if your cycles are irregular. Please do not rely on Simply Track for contraception or to plan or avoid pregnancy, and speak to a healthcare professional about any medical question. See our Terms of Use for the full health disclaimer.

Your privacy and data

Your cycle and health data lives on your device, with optional sync to your own private iCloud. We do not run a server that receives it, show ads, sell data, or use third-party analytics. To export your data, use the doctor report; to erase it, delete entries, clear the app’s data, remove its iCloud data, or delete the app. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Premium, subscriptions and refunds

Period tracking, the calendar and the first-period guides are free. Simply Track Premium unlocks the daily Log and Insights tabs and the doctor report, on weekly ($2.99), monthly ($7.99) or annual ($39.99, with a 7-day free trial) plans. Prices are shown in USD and may vary by region; the App Store shows the final price in your own currency before you buy.

  1. Cancel anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  2. Restore Premium on a new device with Restore Purchases in the app, signed in to the same Apple ID.
  3. Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose “Request a refund”, and select your Simply Track purchase. You can also manage everything from Apple’s manage subscriptions page.

Apple Health, Face ID and notifications

  • Apple Health: optional. Manage what Simply Track can read in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
  • Face ID lock: turn on app lock in the app’s settings to require Face ID or your passcode each time the app opens.
  • Notifications: reminders are off until you turn them on. Manage them in the app’s settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Simply Track.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use Simply Track?

No. There is no sign-up and no email required: open the app and start tracking. Your data stays on your device, and syncs through your own iCloud if you turn that on.

How do predictions work, and can I use them for birth control?

Predictions learn from the periods and cycle details you log and adapt to your rhythm and age to estimate upcoming periods, ovulation and fertile windows. Please do not rely on them for contraception or to plan or avoid pregnancy: they are estimates and can be wrong, especially early on or if your cycles are irregular. Simply Track is not a medical device; for anything health-related, talk to a healthcare professional.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Everything you log lives on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, a copy is kept in your own private iCloud so it can sync across devices, and we cannot see it. We do not run a server that receives your cycle data, show ads, sell data, or use third-party analytics or trackers.

Is Simply Track suitable for my child?

Yes. Simply Track was made for first periods, so it suits a young person tracking a cycle for the first time and every cycle after. There is no account and no sign-up, no ads and no third-party tracking, and cycle data stays on the device rather than coming to us, so a parent can vet it with confidence. The first-period education is free and written to be calm and judgement-free, and a parent or guardian can sit with their child and review everything the app holds. For younger users, we recommend a parent or guardian is involved. Rated 12+ on the App Store.

How do I sync between my iPhone and Apple Watch, or move to a new phone?

Keep iCloud enabled for Simply Track and be signed in to the same Apple ID on each device. Your data syncs automatically to your Apple Watch and restores to a new iPhone when you sign in and open the app.

Do I need iCloud? What happens if I lose my phone?

No, iCloud is optional, and Simply Track works fully without it: your cycle data is stored on your device. Turning on iCloud sync keeps a copy in your own private iCloud, which is what lets your data move to a new iPhone and stay in step with your Apple Watch. Without iCloud sync, your data lives only on that one device, so if you lose or reset it the data goes with it, unless the phone was restored from an iCloud or computer backup. With iCloud sync on, sign in to the same Apple ID on a new phone, open the app, and your history comes back.

Does Simply Track work offline?

Yes. Because your data is stored on your device, tracking, the calendar, predictions and the first-period guides all work with no internet connection. Nothing needs a server of ours to function. If you use iCloud sync, it simply catches up the next time your device is back online.

How do I export a report for my doctor?

Open Settings in the app and choose the option to share a report with your doctor. Simply Track builds a clean PDF on your device, anonymous by default, which you can save or send from the share sheet. The doctor report is a Premium feature.

How do I delete my data?

You are in full control. Delete individual entries in the app, clear all of your data from the app’s settings, and (if you used iCloud) remove the app’s iCloud data from Settings → your name → iCloud. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. Because your data is private to you, we cannot delete it on your behalf.

What does Premium include, and what stays free?

Period tracking, the calendar and every first-period guide are free, always. Simply Track Premium unlocks the daily Log and Insights tabs and the doctor PDF report, on weekly, monthly or annual plans (the annual plan includes a free trial).

How much does Simply Track Premium cost?

Simply Track Premium is $2.99 weekly, $7.99 monthly or $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. It unlocks the daily Log and Insights tabs and the doctor PDF report; period tracking, the calendar and every first-period guide stay free. Prices are shown in USD and may vary by region: the App Store always shows the final price in your own currency before you buy.

How do I cancel or restore my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device: cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. To restore Premium on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in to the same Apple ID.

How do I connect Apple Health, and can I lock the app with Face ID?

Both are optional. When you enable Apple Health, iOS asks exactly which categories to share (such as sleep or menstrual data); Simply Track only reads what you allow and keeps it on your device. You can also turn on Face ID / passcode lock in the app’s settings to require it each time the app opens.

Does Simply Track work on Apple Watch?

Yes. The Apple Watch app shows your cycle day and phase and lets you start or stop your period with one tap. Widgets, watch complications and Siri shortcuts keep tracking a glance away.
